Boiler house
The plant is equipped with 3 coal boilers WR-10. Total capacity is 38MW.
Grid
The grid supplying the city with hot water is 74,6 km long. PEC is owner of 53 km of this grid. Its volume is 4,776m3.
Heating nodes
PEC make use of 128 heating nodes. Their power is 80% of whole system demand. Nodes are full automatic and equipped with devices for measurement of amount of produced heat. Part of nodes works inside system for remote controlling of parameters. This system contains also HP Atex and K-18.
Efficiency
Due to the modernization made from the first year after privatization (2003), it was already possible to increase sales efficiency (energy sold/energy contained in coal) from 55 to 77% in year 2008. Efficiency of production is 91%.
